Larco

Larco is part of our office farmhouse and is owned by the SpecialItaly company owners. This 16th-century building, dating back to 1543, underwent a complete restoration in 2024. The project was a significant undertaking, as the original structure had no clear foundations. It began as a small farm and was gradually extended over the course of 500 years.

Once the structure was brought back to near-new condition, we set out to create a compelling dialogue between the historic building and modern, mid-century design. The result is a striking combination that works beautifully, blending old-world character with contemporary elegance.

The property features two suites and is comfortably designed for four guests, though it is most often enjoyed by couples. Its comfort is enhanced by carefully curated art pieces, design furniture, and a stunning handmade kitchen. Larco serves as something of a showroom for SpecialItaly, embodying the design language and aesthetic we love to bring to our projects: a seamless balance of tradition, modernity, and thoughtful detail.
