Farmhouse

Former chapel
A ground-floor bedroom includes the original, small chapel window while the other bedroom is on a mezzanine level overlooking the sitting room. A glass wall with a Japanese sliding screen offers privacy.

Farmhouse

Surroundings

Santa Lucia sits in green rolling hills on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, just 4km from Monterchi. This medieval hilltop town on the Tuscan side of the border is best known for its Piero della Francesca fresco, the Madonna del Parto, which can be found in the museum. Citerna (6k), meanwhile, sits on the Umbrian side of the border and is named as one of I Borghi più belli d’Italia (the most beautiful villages in Italy). Both offer shops, bars and restaurants with numerous bigger towns, such as Sansepolcro, Arezzo and Umbertide, not far away. Antognolla Golf (46km), one of the most spectacular and challenging 18-hole courses in Italy, is just over half an hour away. There are also excellent local wine and olive oil producers who offer tours and tastings.
