Posabile is a handsome, solid stone building that dates from the 16th century. Meticulously restored by Specialitaly a decade ago, the team returned earlier in 2026 with exciting new designs both inside and out.
Inside, the beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and brick floors show the rich, rural history of the building, while the poured concrete floors, design-led lighting and super comfy new chairs and sofas set the stage for the property’s present and future.
The bespoke kitchen was hand built by local craftspeople and matches pale wood with veined marble. Expertly equipped and as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional, it’s a fabulous space in which to cook and entertain.
Take your pick of reception rooms, each with its own vibe, from cosy library to airy sitting room. Similarly, upstairs you’ll find five double bedrooms, all ensuite, with incredible views of this beguiling landscape.
Step outside onto the covered veranda that wraps round a corner of the building to a comfy seating area and a dining table, separated by a stone-built wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ. Take note of the beautiful details such as the ornate chimney caps and the pots of herbs to scatter on your pizza.
The garden has been carefully landscaped with Mediterranean planting, irrigated lawns and steps edged in Corten steel that lead from the shaded parking area to the door, and from the veranda to the pool. In fact, there are two pools: the second is a 50cm-deep children’s one, with sunloungers in both the sun and shade.
The welcoming pink of the house’s woodwork is based on the original colour of the front door. It’s so cheerful that you’ll find it difficult to leave.
