Casa Mare

This fabulous villa is the place to come with friends and family for an indulgent and relaxing beach holiday

Casa Mare is a holiday house for 12 in the Marche hills just five minutes from Civitanova Marche on the Adriatic coast. While ‘luxury design villa’ is overused as a description, it is wholly accurate for this beautifully designed property with its two-level saltwater pool and private wellness area.

Designed by local architects, much of the interior has been custom-made by local craftspeople, with highlights including the sculptural central staircase and the marble-topped kitchen island. Natural materials such as terracotta, blond wood and slate define much of the interior, giving it an airy, calm and comfortable feel.

There are six bedrooms across three levels and a large ground-floor kitchen and living area with sea views. Every detail has been carefully considered, and the result is a harmonious property with soft, sandy coloured interiors, a slight retro feel, and a touch of Scandinavian and Australian influence.

This under-the-radar coastline offers fine sandy beaches, a relaxed, warm welcome, and, rather wonderfully, you can still find seafood restaurants that are very reasonably priced.

Please note that this property has been recently completed and a professional photoshoot will be coming soon.

Leisure & Activities

Activities

The villa has a private wellness area that includes a sauna, gym and Jacuzzi, as well as an outdoor pool. Don’t miss out, however, on what’s beyond the villa. Take your pick of white sand beaches in either direction along the coast. There are several golf clubs, too, the nearest is Conero (35km). Inland, you’ll find a patchwork of vineyards, and you won’t need to go far to find a tour and wine tasting. If you want to explore further afield, the Chiaravalle di Fiastra national park has an ancient abbey, and forests with biking and hiking trails, while the Monte Sibillini national park has climbing routes, too. Local walking and cycling routes start in the hills behind the house and the quiet country roads are perfect for long cycling tours.

Specials

Specialitaly is happy to tailor-make itineraries for our guests, including guided tours of national parks or city culture tours. Please contact us directly for rates and availability. We can also organise cooking lessons for you at the villa or book a private chef.

Happenings

Casa Mare is just five minutes’ drive from Civitanova Marche, a vibrant coastal town with a long promenade and sandy beaches. It has a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere that’s more local than touristy, with refreshingly well-priced seafood restaurants, bars and bistros along the front. Civitanova Alta sits 2km back from the sea and is the historic heart of the town. Its narrow streets, sea-view piazzas and small trattorias make it the perfect place for an evening stroll and an aperitivo watching the sun go down. Head inland and you will find charming villages such as Montecosaro (8km), national parks, olive groves and vineyards. Or, head south to Fermo (24km), an ancient, hilltop town full of old buildings, winding streets and piazzas with views of the sea. Porto Sant’Elpidio (10km) is another seaside town that’s perfect for lunch or an evening stroll, and then there’s Macerata (30km), for a trip to the opera in its splendid open-air theatre, the Sferisterio.

Your villa and Covid-19

To prevent any possible spread of Covid-19 and to enable you to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, all our villas are cleaned to the highest standard possible, and according to the latest Italian health and safety regulations.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

  • To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
  • To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa
  • To guarantee cleaning and disinfection of all areas according to national authority guidelines. Further information is available on request
  • For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
  • For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
